This output was disseminated as a result of a DEFRA and HGCA co-funded project “Whole utilisation of straw for industrial applications” under DEFRA Renewable Materials LINK Program, grant No CAS 7531-LK0830 (DEFRA) and RD-2007-3351(HGCA). The project was conducted in collaboration with 13 research and industrial partners and developed a portfolio of low-cost and high performance bio-composites. This has led to commercial exploitations of the biocomposites in horticulture, construction and furniture applications.
