Additional information

<22> This work demonstrates a novel practical method for maximising high-voltage power transmission within the temperature limit of the underground copper cables. Contemporary techniques of FEM and computer simulation are adopted for analysis and verification (e.g. layout design and control of cable temperature). It plays an important role in building modern underground power transmission systems which replace traditional overhead cables due to urbanisation and other environmental requirements such as landscape parks, watersheds, military areas and airports.
