Additional information

<01> GPS receivers are typically used in cluttered environments that deteriorate the performance of the embedded GPS antennas. An efficient mean is proposed in this work to predict the antenna performance in the navigation devices like TomTom, Garmin, and smart phones, fast and accurate. This research was funded by Sony Ericsson and this method is currently employed by their engineers to improve the antenna designs. It formed part of the PhD thesis titled “Characterisation of human body and environmental effects on the performance of mobile terminal antennas” by M. Ur Rehman.
