<22> This paper is the first application of the bioinspired adaptive bees algorithm (ABA) in the field of fuel economy optimisation. It was carried out as part of a three-year EC-funded FP6 project (IWard) and proved the efficiency of the approach in the selected field. A library of the algorithm has been made available via beesalgorithm.sourceforge.net. A number of PhD theses from Europe and overseas have cited the paper.
