Men, Masculinities and Religious Change in Twentieth-Century Britain
Book is co-edited with Lucy Delap (then at St Catharine’s College, University of Cambridge, now Director of the History and Policy Unit and Reader in Twentieth-Century British History, King’s College, London).
Morgan’s contribution to the above collection includes a co-authored 11,000 word introduction, ‘Men, Masculinities and Religious Change in Post-Christian Britain’ (responsible for 50% of this) and a 10,000 word sole authored chapter entitled ‘”Iron Strength and Infinite Tenderness”: Herbert Gray and the Making of Christian Masculinities at War and at Home, 1900–40’ (pp.168-96 of the volume).
In addition to her own chapter and the introduction, Morgan’s overall contribution including inviting and co-ordinating 10 international authors, co-convening a symposium on the volume in April 2012 at St Catharine’s College, University of Cambridge, editorial work and communication with the publishers – 50%.
