A publication coming out of EU FP6 collaboration project INNOTRACK presenting the dynamic analysis of an innovative bi-steel sandwich track solution, in collaboration with industry. Led to a prototype demonstrator to be realised and installed outside Tata Steel production site in Scunthorpe, UK. The simulation tools developed have since been applied to the investigation of railway fastening design and failure mechanisms for urban rail transit systems.
