Additional information

This co-edited collection is the first academic study of radio in small nations. The genuinely international range of essays provide an historical and contemporary overview of small nations' radio grappling with repressive regimes or ethnic and linguistic identity in contexts of postcolonial or post-industrial identity. As a whole, the collection strives to present diverse voices and diverse themes, held together by passionate and scrupulous research. Traynor was co-editor and co-wrote the introduction and a chapter on contemporary practitioners in Wales. She also wrote a chapter covering her ground-breaking research project on the establishment of community radio in Laos.
