English abstract

Five cuneiform inscriptions of the Assyrian kings Tiglath-pileser I (r. 1114-1076 BC) and Shalmaneser III (r. 858-824 BC) are edited on the basis of paper squeezes that the author took in two caves located at the exit of the Dibni Çay, a tributary of the Tigris river. The texts are presented in hand copies, transcriptions, translations and commentaries that analyse their historical context and significance.
