This paper is an output of the EU FP6 DINAMICS collaborative research project (NMP4-CT-2007-026804) co-ordinated by Lambda GmbH (Dr. Christian Mittermayr (Mittermayr@lambda.at), which concerned the development of DNA-based sensors for bioagent detection in water supply.The results of this paper enabled the development and manufacturing of the nanofluidic chamber as a sensor for detecting bio-hazards. Lambda GmbH have now adopted this and developed it through to the manufactured prototyope stage (Dr. Christian Mittermayr (Mittermayr@lambda.at).
