Additional information

In 2007, Waters co-organised a three-day international, interdisciplinary conference at Newcastle University, bringing together leading scholars in the fields of feminist theory, film and television studies, and media cultures. The organisers subsequently secured a contract with Palgrave for an edited collection, which was then taken forward by Waters alone. In addition to contributing a chapter to the collection (pp. 58-76), Waters identified and contacted potential contributors, commissioned chapters, organized the peer review of chapters, provided feedback and editorial advice to all the contributors, liaised with the publisher, and wrote a critical introduction to the volume (pp. 1-16).
