Additional information

The work presents a new formulated SRF (Solid Recovered Fuels) combustion model applicable in Pulverized Fuel combustors, for the prediction of the co-combustion (SRF with brown coal) behaviour in PF boilers. Validation has been performed against experimental data for a pilot-scale unit. The model was subsequently applied in the case of a large scale PP manufactured by Alstom, performing a parametric study on the effect of SRF particles average diameter and their level of injection, for a 5% thermal share, on the PP operation.
