Additional information

A CFD cavitation model is described, developed over five years and supported from the European I-Level project, Delphi and Caterpillar. It is the first model of its kind including a number of new physical submodels and a new dense Lagrangian/Eulerian numerical methodology. Since its development, the model has been at the core of the activities of major research contacts: EPSRC/DTI, Delphi and Lloyd’s worth about £4.5m. It has resulted in many follow-up papers, keynote addresses in international conferences, follow-up PhD Theses, post-doctoral research, and has contributed the most to the establishment of the cavitation programme at CUL.
