In addition to my own research-based chapter I wrote the 10,000 word concluding chapter, in which I identify the main areas in which languages are an issue in conflict, and draw out the lessons to be learned by military and civilian participants. I also co-wrote the 7,000 word Introduction setting out the conceptual framework for the volume.
