Additional information

<28> The paper examines the potential use of the Internet of Things (IoT) in some important healthcare and medical applications. The challenges of having 50 billion ‘Things’ and users connected may be detrimental to Identify Management (IDM), which requires a unique identity for each Thing. The paper examines the underlying issues behind IDM and proposes a framework which aims to achieve the safe management of Things. The IDM framework uses Mobile ad hoc Networks (MANETs), as most healthcare devices will be linked wirelessly. The paper opens a research debate to solve the future IoT IDM issues in healthcare applications.
