Context-aware trust negotiation in peer-to-peer service collaborations
<19>We describe our step-changing approach to automated trust negotiation, with formal analysis and experimental validation, demonstrating for the first time how to realise dynamic negotiation in a production-quality middleware system, CROWN-C (IEEE-Computer-vol41-no8-2008). This was a significant output from the international middleware programme between Leeds and Beihang (ranked top three in China). Our system now forms the core of CROWN-C’s authentication mechanism (IEEE-Trans-Service-Computing, doi:10.1109/TSC.2010.33) and of the iVIC Cloud middleware now exploited by Inspur, China-Mobile, and Teamsun. A survey paper (Elsevier-JNCA, doi:10.1016/j.jnca.2011.07.013) dedicated a whole section to our middleware. Follow-on application-led projects (with Beihang) include (NBRPC iVCE-II-no.2011CB302602, NSFC Major Program-no.90818028, >£3M).
