Forward residue harmonic balance for autonomous and non-autonomous systems with fractional derivative damping
This is the first paper on residue harmonic balance for bifurcation of fractional nonlinear systems. As a result I was able to publish another 12 papers applying the method in various fields within two years. Subsequent publications include time delay damper; nonlinear viscoelastic arches; periodic wave; airfoils; quadratic nonlinear oscillator; and discontinuous nonlinear oscillator with fractional power restoring force. This paper had led to my semi-plenary lecture presented in APCOM2013, a triennial conference of the Asia-Pacific Association for Computational Mechanics , in Singapore.
