Makhoul wrote a substantial introduction to the book (16,000 words) theoretically situating video art as crucial to Palestinian artists both aesthetically & geo-politically. Makhoul organised extensive data collection with more than 65 artists to form the material for this book, which is the first publication in the world to provide such a comprehensive overview of Palestinian video art. It was published by Palestinian Art Court – al Hoash (Jerusalem, 2013), supported by the editorial board of Third Text (Journal), London.
