Additional information

Higher is a series of radio plays, submitted as one item as they feature recurring characters in a recurring situation and all address different aspects of the same issues - outward facing curriculum, resistance to change, internationalisation, research partnerships, rebranding, inspection, quality, and in the eighth play, the possibility of privatisation. These plays aim to explore the questions: 1 What is a university in the 21st century? 2 How do universities fit into the ever shifting social and economic environment? 3 How must those people working in universities change in order to survive? These questions are addressed in satirical form, but grounded in the realities of current pressures and practice.
