Additional information

The work describes a completely novel method for analyzing and designing multi-pulse MRI sequences in the presence of inhomogeneous fields, being the first comprehensive framework to consider designing MRI pulse sequences for parallel transmission as whole entities. This work won the 2012 International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine’s Young Investigator Award for work in basic science. The ISMRM is the premier forum for MRI related research whose annual meeting draws over 5000 delegates. The prestigious YIA competition has two winners selected annually (one for basic science, one for medical applications) and previous winners include many leaders in the field.
