Additional information

<19>The research described in this paper found serious vulnerabilities in two widely-used electronic voting systems. As a consequence, improvements in the e-voting procedures were introduced in the US, thus directly benefitting society and public policy. This paper was selected as “Spotlight Paper” for the July/August 2010 issue of the IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering (TSE). An earlier version of this paper was named one of the best in the ISSTA 2008 conference. This work was widely covered in the general press and a video describing this research has received 80,000+ views on Youtube, helping the public understanding of e-voting security.
