Additional information

As editor of the book, Stern conceived its thematic framework and research questions, which he communicated to the authors when they were initially invited to contribute. Stern edited and in some cases heavily revised the contributions that had been submitted. He wrote the Preface and, most importantly, contributed a substantial sole authored article of his own, entitled 'The 'Sectarian' calendar of Qumran' (Chapter 3 of the book, pp. 39-62).
