Additional information

Proposes a widely-applicable approach for solute transport modelling, based on the Residence Time Distribution (RTD). RTDs provide an extremely elegant, accurate and scalable model of solute transport processes. DHI, formerly Danish Hydraulics Institute (Ole Mark, Head of R&D, omj@dhigroup.com), are considering implementing this new, efficient, modelling approach into their commercial software. This will ultimately enable drainage engineers to minimise pollution risks and meet the requirements of the EU Water Framework Directive through better-informed sewer design.
