This is the proof of concept of a device architecture which is compatible with all-solution device fabrication, using quantum dots for future displays, lighting, and photovoltaics. The highlight of this work is the first QD light emission in a full colour display. This work is highlighted and selected as the cover picture article of the Nature Photonics journal and was reported in the News and Views /NPG special edition. Related work was patented (US 8353613 B2, US20090009057 A1).
