Additional information

This paper (co-authored with engineers and clinicians from 3 other European universities) sets out the complete modelling-imaging-validation loop for heat treatment of liver cancer. This work was funded (Euro3.5M) by the EU under FP7, with a seven-partner consortium. The results led directly to a second major grant (Euro4.1M), with an eight-partner consortium (four clinical and four technical), starting in April 3013, which will include multi-centre clinical trials of the technology described in this paper.
