Additional information
Tubes provide an effective means of handling predictive control constraints for systems which are subject to additive disturbances. Earlier tubes were “rigid” in that they had fixed cross sections, and our paper enhances the approach by developing tubes which have variable centres and scaling. On account of this, and the definition of a more flexible form of terminal constraints set, our method allows for a relaxation of constraints which leads to larger regions of attraction and/or better performance. The order of the computational complexity of our approach is the same as that for rigid tube predictive control.
