<01>Originality: This paper proposes a new procedure for inline extracted pole waveguide filter design. Comparing with the existing procedures the proposed solution is numerically efficient and allows designing significantly miniaturised waveguide filters.

Significance: Since waveguide filters are widely used in 3G and 4G microwave radio and satellite applications this paper contributes towards improved cost effectiveness of these industries.

Rigour: Theoretical analyses were used to develop the designed procedure. This was followed by simulations and measurements made on a fabricated design. The paper was published in a prestigious peer reviewed journal.
