Life Under Water
Life Under Water is a collection of poems of varied length and form linked through the subject matter of water: grief, ecology and politics are intertwined thematically. It was widely reviewed in publications such as the TLS, The Independent, Poetry Review. It was one of 10 books shortlisted in 2009 for the T S Eliot Award, the chief UK prize for poetry collection of the year; the award that year went to Seamus Heaney. The book is in a second edition and parts of it combined with an earlier book, Kissing a Bone, were translated and published as a full collection in Sweden in 2011. Publication led to invitations to take part in literary festivals in the Netherlands (Poetry International), Ireland (Cuirt), Sweden (Kristianstad Bookfest) and across the UK
