Additional information

This is a landmark paper with multiple co-authors from around the world who have participated in an ASCE competition to design the best algorithm to detect an unspecified contaminant intrusion within a water distribution network. The authors each wrote a section describing their own algorithm and critically evaluated the performance of their own algorithm against a set of criteria. The significance of this paper lies in the extremely objective evaluation of each algorithm’s performance which sets the benchmark for subsequent improvements.
