This paper describes a new advancement in the measurement of intracellular protein. The work completed in 2011 was published in 2013 because of commercial confidence issues. Sarum Biosciences Ltd have licensed the technique for development of inexpensive, rapid diagnostic platforms. The use of this technique has been supported by a TSB grant (130266) for C difficile detection and a NIHR i4i (II-ES-0511-21001) with North Staffordshire Hospital for detection of exacerbations associated with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
