<22>The paper opened up a new research area by presenting the first framework to successfully combine statistical natural language semantics with formal structural semantics. The technology used was derived from that developed for quantum protocols by Abramsky-Coecke (LICS04). The significance of the work was recognised in a tweet from Fernando Pereira (Research Director at Google and key potential beneficiary, and a story on the New Scientist cover (http://www.newscientist.com/issue/2790). Resulting funding (British Council and Dutch Platform Beta-Technique) supported monograph with contributions from leading linguists and categorical logicians, published by OUP http://ukcatalogue.oup.com/product/9780199646296.do#.UgjbJFPaiw0 establishing area. Research underpins other submitted outputs.
