<09>This was first paper to present a comprehensive solution to the flag problem in software testing. The approach is now the standard to which other authors compare their results for this problem. The tool reported on in this paper was used by Daimler to test their automotive systems and is also now publicly available. The results were evaluated on many large real world systems and analysed using inferential statistical significance testing.
