Additional information

The paper considers the Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) integrated with a conventional combustion process and waste heat recovery to provide electricity for commercial buildings. The paper presents an in depth analysis of the impact of different biomass feedstock on the performance of trigeneration plant, and an economic evaluation of the system is presented for a range of capital investment, plant load factors and fuel costs. The work was carried out with Ulster University as part of the EPSRC funded BMT-CES: Biofuel Micro-Trigeneration with Cryogenic Energy Storage project (EP/F061978/1).
