Additional information

This paper, which was an invited theme paper by the Royal Society, presents the design and development of a trigeneration system specifically to use unprocessed plant oils. For the first time a detailed and comprehensive analysis of pure Croton megalocarpus properties and performance when used in a compression ignition engine was carried out. The research was funded by the EPSRC China-UK Programme and carried out as part of the BMT-CES: Biofuel Micro-Trigeneration with Cryogenic Energy Storage project (EP/F061978/1) which was coordinated by Roskilly.
