Professor Sanders is Consultant Gastroenterologist, Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He is also Honorary Professor of Gastroenterology, University of Sheffield, collaborating closely on research projects, particularly with Professor S Cross. His clinical and research interests include coeliac disease, pancreatic exocrine insufficiency, gastrostomy feeding, small bowel endoscopy, irritable bowel syndrome and gastrointestinal bleeding.

Professor AJ Vora is Lead Clinician in the Department of Haematology at Sheffield Children's Hospital, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. His research responsibilities include a range of investigations related to childhood leukaemia. He has held joint grants with Sheffield University academic staff and has numerous co-authored papers arising from their collaborations.
