Additional information
<01> Originality: Presents a novel approach to prosthetic control.
Significance: Efficient training towards intuitive control is achieved by active closed-loop exploration of the manifold of myosignals that a patient can produce. By means of autonomous movements of the prosthesis, signal features and control actions are selected simultaneously. Enables proportional control in a standard setting designed for state-based discrete control. Short-listed for best paper award at one of the major robotics conferences.
Rigour: Experimental results based on a theoretical framework.
