<02> Originality: IMUSim is the first simulation environment to simulate Inertial-Magnetic Unit (IMU) measurements from trajectory definitions.

Significance: The use of wireless sensor devices to measure movement of humans has resulted in a number of empirical results. IMUSim enables accurate comparisons to be performed using commonly-available data sets for existing and new algorithms to estimate motion from sensor data.

Rigour: Validated to show a good match against real IMU measurements for simulations based on motion capture of human movement. Published at a world-leading (22.13% acceptance rate) IEEE- and ACM-sponsored peer-reviewed conference, and shortlisted for the Best Paper award.
