Additional information
For the first time the role of oxygen permeation has been unequivocally demonstrated in membrane-based steam reforming of methane. This process produces a syngas stream as well as a stream of pure hydrogen and is consequently of significant industrial interest. This study stands out for the level of detail in terms of closure of material balances and proof of the role of permeation.
