Additional information

This paper presents and validates a unique analysis methodology which quantifies the hydrodynamic loading and reduced stiffness of damaged ships, in order to support the development of damage tolerant ships. The research was funded by the US Ship Structures Committee (Reliability Based Performance Assessment of Damaged Ships; ref. N00014-06-1-0669).
