Additional information
This paper outlines the development of a new process which for the first time allowed optimised doping of carbon onto hollow polymer fibres, allowing the creation of an absorbent system which showed significantly improved performance over previously available systems. The research was carried out in collaboration with Nano-porous Solutions (contact Colin Billiet; e-mail colin.billiet@n-psl.com), who have implemented the new process in the manufacture of adsorbent separation and filtration products.
