<22>This invited paper established the methodology for developing cyber-physical society coined by the author's keynotes at IEEE AINA 2010. This work, together with his monograph The Knowledge Grid: Toward Cyber-Physical Society (2012, 2nd Ed) and papers in leading conferences (IJCAI2013, VLDB2012, etc) created a new research area beyond IoT and CPS. It forms a fundamental contribution to future information technology. It has influenced multiple areas including transportation (UCC,2011), semantic interoperability (Annual Review in Control,2012), social networking (WWW J,2012), and supply chain (Journal of Manufacturing Technology,2012). It was one of the most downloaded papers of the journal.
