Additional information

<15> The proposed technique successfully exploits the redundancy in a digital image to reduce its size in encrypted form and satisfies simultaneously the two main requirements for transmission to be acceptable, namely, speed and security. Free software for non-commercial implementation, called SCEIFS, has been made available at http://www.nonlinear-approx.info/SCEIFS/index.html. This paper results from a national and international collaboration (Imperial College, UK, and La Plata University, Argentina).
