Additional information

<27> This highly cited paper was the result of an international collaboration and describes the automatic mapping of critical environmental variables employing open, web-based, data exchange and visualisation tools. The INTAMAP project led to the proposal of the international UncertML candidate standard for communicating uncertainty, and the methods and algorithms are all open source and provided free for download to the community. UncertML is being used across an increasing number of domains including systems biology (SBML Distrib) and environmental modelling (NetCDF-U). The work led to the UncertWeb FP7 project (2011-13, worth £600k to Aston).
