<22>This EPSRC-sponsored work was done in collaboration with Cambridge Silicon Radio (CSR), who became partners in an EPSRC Knowledge Transfer Secondment project. In their KTS Final Report to EPSRC, CSR said it had influenced their strategic direction, and rated the significance of this work to their future performance as the maximum 5 out 5. An international patent application has been filed (PCT/EP2012/066549) for the work in this paper. The work was funded by EPSRC EP/G001960/1. The Home Office are currently evaluating the CLOSE system for very challenging speech enhancement applications in audio surveillance.
