Additional information

In this work we studied the firing of neurons in the medial temporal lobe in epileptic patients, recorded during a clinical implant of electrodes in these areas. Our results suggest that the responses found in these neurons were present before performing the experiment, therefore, contributing to the on-going debate on the stability of memory representation and the role of medial temporal lobe, one of the hottest topics in neuroscience. This line of work was the basis for obtaining a £300,000 fellowship.
