The research presented in this paper fits in the field of identification for control and deals with the problem of guaranteeing stability in the re-design of feedback controllers. This research is a collaboration with the group of Prof. Brian Anderson at the Australian National University (ANU). The work of A. Lecchini-Visintini in identification for control, contained in this and previous papers, formed the basis for the project "Modelling and Identification for control of a Jet Engine Hydro Mechanical Unit (HMU) " (2014 - , PI: A. Lecchini-Visintini) funded by Aero Engine Controls - part of the Rolls-Royce Group.
