Additional information

This paper reports flight test results from several campaigns carried out by Leicester in conjunction with Deimos Space (Technical Lead, Dr. Murray Kerr - murray.kerr@deimos-space.com) and DLR (German Aerospace Center). This paper describes how the addition of anti-windup compensation can greatly reduce the tendency of an agile aircraft so suffer from so-called pilot-induced-oscillations (PIO's). This work has also generated several conference publications and MCT was awarded "Best Presentation" for an invited talk at the US Guidance and Systems Committee meeting in September 2008. This work was partially responsible for award of the £178K MoD/DGA "Dynamic Controllers" project to Leicester.
