Additional information

This paper inspired the main topic of Dr Sina Jamali’s PhD work at the University of Northampton. It has been cited 3 times (source Google Scholar). The paper shows that water-jetting is an excellent surface preparation method. The methodology presented in the paper has won recognition from a number of commercial national and international companies (Pronto Paints, Polmor Engineering, Bearward Engineering, Cummins Engines). The work challenges the traditional steel preparation method and provides hard evidence for the new environmentally friendly technique to be even more effective.
