Significance of output:

Switching field distribution is a fundamental microstructural characteristic of magnetic materials for computer hard disk drives, defining the long-term reliability and stability of the information storage. This paper solves an outstanding issue of relating the switching field distribution measurable at slow time scales of the laboratory magnetometry (seconds) to that relevant at fast time scales of the recording process (nano-seconds), which resulted in an immediate industrial impact in improving the modern hard disk media characterization methods.
