Additional information

This research study makes an effort to evaluate the harmonic distortion in the distribution systems caused by the various non-linear residential loads. Typical UK distribution network was used for simulation along with experimental results, it shows high level of harmonic distortion at the PCC. This work opens eyes to evaluate the existing power distribution systems and analyze the possible constraints. This could help the utility engineers to design more robust distribution systems against the harmonic distortion. It will raise the awareness among the stake of re-evaluating the current standards particularly with the high penetration of EV chargers in the DN.
