Significance of output:

Fractal and multifractal techniques are used to evaluate the spatial distribution of know mineral deposits in this internationally important mining area. A set of related fractal properties can be shown to control mineralization from the scale of stockwork veins to the overall distribution of the deposits. A new simulation technique is developed, based on the de Wijs fractal, with a full simulation, implemented within a GIS, being subsequently published by our group in Computers and Geosciences (v37, 1917-27).
